This Feb. 11th, the American Culinary Federation High Sierra Chefs Association will be hosting its annual Presidential Awards Dinner at the Academy of Arts, Careers and Technology in Reno to celebrate some of the amazing chefs and students in our community who go above and beyond to make a positive impact.
“It is important to the association to let these individuals be recognized for their achievements and contributions to the association and our community,” said Jay Rathmann, president of ACF HSCA.
The dinner starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $35 dollars a piece. Everyone is invited. Chefs, associate members, students, and family are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
RSVPs must be made before Feb. 9th so make sure to get your tickets fast!
The evening will begin with a few introductions, and the awards will be named at the end of the evening, after dinner. The awards will be given to the ACF HSCA chefs, associates, and students who have made the most positive impacts and contributions to our community.
The menu has been released and will feature an amazing, 7-course meal designed and brought to life by AACT culinary Students, Rathmann said.
The meal will include a Foie Gras mousseline on pear, lobster bisque en croute, Frisee - Lardon, seared duck, wild mushroom risotto with Chamomile au jus, passion fruit sorbet, petite filet, truffle whipped potatoes and fresh vegetables, and for dessert a cheesecake with berries.
